Description

Obushera is a traditional Ugandan fermented cereal beverage consumed as a refreshing drink and for social occasions.

Fermentation process

  • Cereal flour mixed with water and cooked
  • Slurry cooled and fermented spontaneously
  • Fermentation lasts 1–3 days depending on preference
