Description
Zoom-koom is a lightly fermented millet-based beverage traditionally consumed in Burkina Faso, often flavored with ginger or mint.
Fermentation process
- Millet grains soaked, milled, and filtered
- Slurry allowed to ferment naturally for 12–24 h
- Beverage consumed fresh, often sweetened or spiced
